SIMPLE PLC COMMUNICATION FUNCTION



The simple PLC communication function is available only with the QnUDVCPU and QnUDPVCPU.

This function allows data communications between specified devices at the specified timing just by doing simple settings from a programming tool. Specify one device (transmission source) to one device (transmission destination).


The communications are performed between the specified devices. The communications using this function are not possible when a stop error occurs in the CPU module where the parameters are set.




CPU Version 
“Simple PLC communicate” by using built-in Ethernet port, recommend first five digits of S/N is “20042” or later and GX-Works2 version “1.575z” or later
“Simple PLC communicate” for iQ-F series by using built-in Ethernet port, recommend first five digits of S/N is “20102” or later and GX-Works2 version “1.580E” or later

MELSEC Q parameter set

Communication Pattern

Setting Item
Description
READ
Read the data of the specified destination device (transmission source) to the specified device of the host station (transmission destination).
WRITE
Write the data of the specified device of the host station (transmission source) to the specified destination device (transmission destination).
TRANSFER
Read the data of the specified destination device (transmission source) and write it to another specified destination device (transmission destination).

Fixed - Data are communicated between the devices at a specified execution interval. -
Execution Interval (ms) Execution interval is set. 10ms to 65535ms
On Request - Data are communicated between the devices only when requested. -
Execution Interval (ms) Data are communicated at the rising of the device that is specified as Request Contact. X, M, B


When using the RnENCPU, connect the cable to the Ethernet port on the CPU part.
Communication Destination (IP Address)
Set the devices for both transmission source and transmission destination.

- MELSEC iQ-R (built-in Ethernet) - MELSEC-QnA (Ethernet module)
- MELSEC iQ-F (built-in Ethernet) - MELSEC-A (Ethernet module)
- MELSEC-Q/L (built-in Ethernet) - MELSEC-FX3 (Ethernet Block/Adapter)
- MELSEC-Q/L (Ethernet module) - SLMP-compatible device (QnA-compatible 3E frame)


Bit and Word device setting.  
User can set bit (or word) for read/write from source data to destination data. Type of data setting depend on Device type selected.
Example setting No.1 : Communication pattern is “Write” word data “D300-D305” of Host station “MELSEC Q” [IP Address 192.168.3.40] to “D300-D305” of “MELSEC iQ-F” [IP Address 192.168.3.38]
Example setting No.2 : Communication pattern is “Read” word data “D100-D105” of “MELSEC iQ-F” [IP Address 192.168.3.38] to “D100-D105” of Host station “MELSEC Q” [IP Address 192.168.3.40]
