A/D conversion method Includes Sampling processing, Time average, Count average, and Moving average.
Over scale detection function Detects analog input values exceeding the range.
Scaling function Converts digital values according to a configured scale.
Shift function Adds a specified amount to the A/D conversion value for fine adjustments.
Digital clipping function Clips values to maximum (4000) or minimum (0) when range is exceeded.
Warning output function Outputs warning when digital operation values exceed specified range.
Event history function Stores errors and events into the CPU module.

Terminal Layout

Signal Name Terminal Function
Analog input V1+ CH1 Voltage input (+)
V2+ CH1 Voltage input (+)
V- CH1/CH2 Voltage input (-)
Analog output V+ CH1 Voltage output (+)
V- CH1 Voltage output (-)

Wiring Notes

  • Use shielded twisted-pair cables (double-core type).
  • Separate cables from power lines or lines with induction.
  • Short-circuit "V+" and "V-" terminals for unused channels.
  • Use Class D grounding.

Special Registers for Analog Input

Description CH1 CH2 R/W
Digital output value SD6020 SD6060 R
Digital operation value SD6021 SD6061 R
Scaling upper limit value SD6028 SD6068 R/W
Scaling lower limit value SD6029 SD6069 R/W
Process alarm upper upper limit value SD6031 SD6071 R/W

Setting Procedure

  1. Access Parameter settings and select "Analog Input".
  2. Enable CH1. Data can be read from register SD6020.
  3. Choose from 4 Average functions: Sampling, Time, Count, or Moving Average.

Warning Output Setting

Enable the Warning Output Function to receive alerts via SM6031 and SM6032.

  • Example: Set Upper Limit to 3000 (Alert via SM6031).
  • Example: Set Lower Limit to 500 (Alert via SM6032).

Scaling Setting

Use the Scaling Setting function to define the range of incoming values. Values will be reflected in SD6021 (e.g., 0-3000).

Analog Output Functions

List of Functions Description
D/A conversion enable/disable Enables or disables conversion.
Analog output HOLD/CLEAR Sets output to previous value or 0 during CPU STOP or error.
Scaling function Converts user-defined max/min digital values to scale.
Warning output function Checks digital values against upper/lower limits.

Wiring Notes

Description Special Relay Special Register R/W
D/A conversion enable/disable SM6180 - R/W
Digital value (Output setting) - SD6180 R/W
Digital operation value - SD6181 R
Warning output upper limit flag SM6191 - R
Warning output lower limit flag SM6192 - R

Analog Output Setting

  1. Access Parameter settings and select "Analog Output".
  2. Enable the channel. Output data is sent via SD6180.
  3. Important: Both "Conversion" and "Output" must be enabled.

Application Examples
