How to Convert Recipe GOT1000 to GOT2000
Guide: Converting Recipe Data from GOT1000 to GOT2000
This guide explains the process of migrating recipe information after a project has been converted from GOT1000 to GOT2000.
Step 1: Export Data from GOT1000
- On the GOT unit, access the Utility menu and navigate to the Recipe section.
- Convert the recipe file from G1P format to CSV format.
Connect to a PC and use GT Designer3 (GOT1000) to read the data.
- Go to
Communication > Read from GOT. - Select
Resource Data and choose the Source Drive (e.g., Drive A). - Click
Info Reception, select the converted CSV file, and click GOT Read to save it to your PC.
Step 2: Prepare the Data in Excel
- Open the GOT1000 CSV file in Excel.
- Copy only the Data section. Do not include the
DEV_SIZE header or technical metadata. - Paste this data into a new Excel sheet and perform a
Clear Formats command to ensure the data is clean.
- Follow the same process as Step 1 to obtain a template CSV file from the GOT2000.
- Open the GOT2000 CSV file and paste the cleared data from your new Excel sheet into the Data section, replacing the existing values.
- Save and close the CSV file.
Step 4: Import Data to GOT2000
Use GT Designer3 (GOT2000) to write the updated file back to the unit.
- Go to
Communication > Write to GOT. - Set Write Data to
Resource Data and click Select Resource Data. - Select the modified CSV file from your PC and set the destination to the SD Card in the
RECIPE folder.
- On the GOT2000 unit, go to Recipe Information.
- Select the CSV file and press the
CSV/TXT -> G2P button to convert the data back into the GOT's native recipe format. - Once the process is complete, the migration is successful.
Note: Advanced Recipe Functions allow monitoring and reading/writing device values when specific conditions are met, supporting multiple values per device.
